Llafranc - Overview:

Llafranc (sometimes referred to as Llafranch) is a small bay with a crescent-shaped beach and is one of the gems of the Catalan coast. At the back of the beach is a beautiful tree-lined promenade and numerous small cafes and bars. Many people who stay here are second-home owners from Barcelona, or discerning foreigners who want to avoid the mass tourist resorts. In Llafranc you will experience a typical Catalan village atmosphere.

Llafranc - Beaches:

Llafranc has one long curved beach protected by the pine covered hills surrounding it. The beach gently slopes into the sea which is ideal for children's bathing. Behind the beach on a tree lined avenue there are numerous small cafes and bars.

Llafranc - Out & About:

The Cap de Sant Sebastian light house at the top of the mountain of the same name affords wonderful views over the bay and of Llafranc, Calella and the surrounding area. A coastal walk will take you from Llafranc to neighbouring Calella de Palafrugell, or you can hike over the hills to Tamariu, another perfect cove with tamarisk trees leaning across the sand.
