Jardin del Mar, Costa Blanca - Overview:

Jardin del Mar is on the outskirts of Torrevieja, near to the Carrefour Supermarket and the Habaneras shopping centre. A bus from the local bus stop will take you into Torrevieja town and from the bus station you will be able to travel up and down the coast. It is a 30 minutes drive south of Alicante Airport on the N332 coast road to Torrevieja.

Jardin del Mar is situated between the blue and pink salt lakes of Torrevieja. A cycle path connects the beach with the lakes and you could bring your binoculars to go bird watching!

Torrevieja is considered to be one of the healthiest places to live in Europe. Torrevieja has a permanent street market, numerous bars and restaurants, several sandy beaches, an Aqua Park and a Nature Reserve. There are five excellent golf courses in the Torrevieja area.

Only an hour's drive away to the south is the sophisticated resort of La Manga, and to the north Benidorm. The Mar Menor is an ideal location for all watersports as its water is calm and warm, even during winter.

For more adventurous watersports, you can try kite surfing at Santa Pola. Children will love both the Aquapolis water park in Torrevieja and the Aqualandia water park in Benidorm.
